Workshop 'Conferences with impact' on the 5th of October 2023

Looking back on Visit Leuven Connects. This edition was organized by Leuven Convention Bureau.

During this workshop we examined together why congresses are essential for Leuven and how we can jointly generate more impact.

After all, a congress with impact aims to have a sustainable positive effect on society and requires close cooperation between different stakeholders, including the associations, the local population and local entrepreneurs.

After this theoretical framework, our partners went to work.

We were pleased to find that Leuven has the potential to organize impactful conferences.

This potential is due not only to the Leuven Mindgate Network, but also to the abundance of fresh and innovative ideas coming out of our working groups.

Finally, we looked ahead to the ambitious plans surrounding the Hertogensite with the Podiumkunstensite by Veerle van Schoelant (30 cc) and the expansion of Martin's Klooster by Jeroen Wauters (Martin's Hotels).

After the workshop, it was time for a tasty and refreshing break provided by the talented chefs of Convento Foods. They presented a delicious buffet inspired by "Bouts on your plate," with dishes such as artisanal "Boutssaucijn" from butcher Rondou and Leuven Pavé infused with Bouts beer from Elsen Kaasmeesters.

Our partners enjoyed this opportunity to network and talking about the workshop afterward.

The Leuven ecosystem in full action!
